The strategy for the redevelopment of The Lodge involves the demolition of the entire building and rebuilding many elements to their existing state, whilst also extending and allowing for an internal reconfiguration. The aim is to conserve the aesthetic composition of the front elevation as much as possible.

 

With The Lodge standing as a corner building on Fitzroy Park, it is important that character is retained as it sets off the remainder of the cul-de-sac. Although it is intended that the building will be lifted, original materials will be used to replicate the front elevation.
